The new BMW 3-Series E90: first photos

In spite of the fact that company BMW did not publish neither official photos, nor characteristics of the following generation of the third series, we can acquaint you with the information on this model.

This information is received from the dealer brochure, the file which "has flowed away" from Slovenian dealer company. The submitted data cannot be considered official till the moment of publication of the information on the given model by BMW. However, sources in BMW AG informed that characteristics and the photos submitted in the brochure are final.

New BMW 3-series E90 sizes: length of 4520 mm (+49 mm), width - 2013 mm (+274 mm), height - 1424 mm (+9 mm), a wheelbase - 2750 mm (+25 mm).
The shape of the automobile became prompter. Thus, the forward part of the automobile has same shapes as the previous generation had and something from the new fifth series. 325i and 330i are equipped with a chromeplated radiator enclosure and big mirrors. It will be possible to order xenon adaptive headlights for all versions.

Sedan will be equipped with one of four base engines. Base version BMW 320i will receive the 2-liter engine, 150 h.p. at 6.200 rev/min. Top speed is 219 km/h. The two-liter diesel engine develops 163 h.p. Acceleration till 100 km/h will take only 8,2 sec., and the top speed is 225 km/h. 325i with the modernized 6-cylinder engine develops 218 h.p. 0-100 km/h takes 7 seconds. The top version is BMW 330i. The automobile with 3-liter flat-six engine develops 258 h.p. at 6.600 rev/min. 0-100 km/h takes 6.3 seconds, and his top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h. All base versions are equipped with a mechanical 6-gear box, and for an additional payment it will be possible to order 6-gear Steptronic with an opportunity of a manual gear shift.

Versions with two-liter engines (both petrol and diesel) will receive 16-inch light-alloy wheels with tires of dimension 205/55, the version 325i - 16-inch light-alloy wheels with tires 205/55, and the most powerful version - 17-inch wheels with tires 225/45.
DSC is included in a standard complete set of all versions of the automobile. The system unites work ABS, CBC (Cornering Brake Control) and DTC (Dynamic Traction Control).

However, the most fantastic changes have touched a passenger compartment. All versions of a sedan has keyless card system and button Start/Stop Engine. As an option it will be offered the navigating system with iDrive controller. Base versions of automobiles will be equipped with audio system BMW Business with a CD player. And for an additional payment it will be possible to a Hi-Fi system with 6CD-box.

The volume of a trunk is 460 liters (+20 litres). BMW 3-series can be painted in 11 colors - three usual and 9 metallic. It will be possible to order fabric (three variants) or leather (five variants) interior.
