Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged modifications at SEMA 2005
The Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged has been a major dealer draw, and nearly 30 percent of buyers intend to modify their Cobalt SS, according to the Foresight Research 2005 Chevrolet Halo study. The Cobalt SS Supercharged is pure, guilt-free performance, with an EPA fuel economy rating of 23 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.
Cobalt’s SEMA entries include:
- The 500-hp Cobalt Phase5 Drag Racer, featuring individual components – many of them available from GM Performance Parts – designed to let racers customize their vehicle as budget and time allow
- The Cobalt SS Coupe Open Air, featuring a Webasto five-panel, electronically operated glass roof that opens up to reveal an interior with unique fabrics, leather-wrapped instrument panel upper, door trim uppers and steering wheel, as well as body-colored bezels and instrument panel trim
- A Wide Body configuration of the Cobalt SS that provides a ready-to-pounce appearance, thanks to a 64-mm track, wheel opening flares, rocker extensions and extended fascias
In addition, GM Accessories will display a 2006 Cobalt with a soon-to-be-released ground effects kit, rear spoiler and body-colored wiper arms. A Bob Mull customized Cobalt SS also will be featured.
Chevy’s medium duty portfolio will be represented as well. GM Fleet and Commercial will show off the Monroe and MTX Chevrolet Kodiak C4500, featuring 2,000 thumping watts of audio power at 4 ohms.
