Sporty, crisp, high-class - no wonder the new C-Class is the bestseller in the Mercedes range. No matter how much fun a mass product generally lacks individuality. Sportservice Lorinser and its L35GS, offer a stylish way out of the dilemma with the comprehensive upgrade package. The Swabians have customized all C-Class models since 1993 and are celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2007.

When the new C-Class of Mercedes was presented, the people from Stuttgart opted for the new trend colour white. Particular characteristics of the aerodynamic kit are its large air intakes, which is reminiscent of widely flared nostrils of a hot-blooded racehorse. A further grill covered large air intake at the centre is characteristic of a Lorinser front bumper spoiler. It is flanked on the left and right by large fog lights, which highlight the horizontal contour of the front bumper as fixed optical points and, in the true sense of the word, give the automobile a face. The sporty mesh grill is found as a style element at the rear too. There it forms a visual connection to the Lorinser exhaust system, which is perfectly integrated into the contours of the rear skirt. It sounds just as good as it looks. In shape the unusual design is oriented along the lines of a fast sailing yacht, signalling the synthesis of luxury and speed. The youthful dynamic strength of the straight-line side skirts is emphasized by the clear technical contours of the modern body design. Visually they also connect the wheel arches.

To demonstrate the diversity of the Lorinser light alloy range the show car at the IAA features two different 19-inch designs. The RS 8 with its dynamic turbo look is still eye catching even as it has become a classic in the Lorinser range. The other side of the C-Class is fitted with the RSK 6. The wave-shape spokes highlight its design finesse in particular.

Thanks to the Lorinser lowering kit, the L35GS seems to melt in with the tarmac. The driving dynamics are highlighted whenever the newly leather-clad steering wheel is given a turn. And where power is concerned, it is provided by the complex performance enhancement of Lorinser. A whopping 305 hp/224 kW and 380 Nm of torque are conveyed by the modified six-cylinder engine through the transmission. Apart from a modified engine control, special camshafts and an adapted exhaust system are built in Winnenden. It is true to the Lorinser slogan: "Moving perfection".
