Essen 2007: The new Abt Touran - a practical, noble and dynamical car

After getting an increase in power at Abt Sportsline, the Touran actually should become the name “TouRun“. Because the team from the Allgaeu gives the Facelift model of the popular family van an additional portion of sportiness, and this is the reason why the Touran always possesses enough power reserves. The successful Turbodiesel with 1.9 and 2.0 liters cubic capacity is getting more drive and therefore is becoming significantly faster, as the power of the strongest two-liter Diesel increases from 170 hp (125 kW) to 190 hp (140 kW) and the maximum torque from 350 to 400 Nm. To be able to drive the Abt Touran agile and sporty, according to its power, Abt recommends the ISC shock absorber set and the Abt suspension springs. The van then will be 35 to 40 millimeters lower, what makes it not only more brawny but also to a real curve hunter.

For the Abt Touran, the Bavarians did not only design a successful body package, also the front spoiler lip, the front grille and the rear wing underline the dynamical appearance of the sleek family sports car. Also the Abt rear muffler with its mighty double end pipe shows all those in the back that the Touran offers more than the serial car. Abt Sportsline supplies the car also with suitable light alloy wheels and wheel-tyre combinations in the sizes 16 to 19 inch. No matter if the successful model Z is concerned or the AR wheel with its clear design, or the new BR wheel with its corresponding spokes pairs, they all harmonize with the sporty family van.

People who also want to show with the interior that their Touran actually is a TouRun are able to improve the passenger compartment with an aluminium or leather shift knob, with aluminium pedals or floor mats. Of course, all these accessories are clearly labelled with the Abt logo. After all the Abt Touran is the sportiest car under the family vans.

1.9 TDI: 130 hp (96 kW) instead of 105 hp (77 kW)
1.9 TDI: 115 hp (85 kW) instead of 90 hp (66 kW)
2.0 TDI: 190 hp (140 kW) instead of 170 hp (125 kW)
2.0 TDI: 170 hp (125 kW) instead of 140 hp (103 kW)
