The Lancer Ralliart model is a new grade designed to reinforce the sporty identity of the Lancer family (Lancer, Lancer Ralliart and Lancer Evolution) using aggressive styling and driving performance that bridges the gap between the Lancer and the Lancer Evolution.
Lancer Ralliart is powered by a new 2.0-liter DOHC MIVEC intercooler/turbocharged engine that develops maximum output of 240 PS. The engine is mated to Mitsubishi's Twin Clutch SST automated manual transmission that delivers high-efficiency power transmission and enhances the sporty driving qualities of the car with lightning-quick and silky-smooth shifting. The full-time 4WD driveline features Mitsubishi's Active Center Differential (ACD). The unit employs an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch center differential, vectoring drive torque to the front/rear according to different driving conditions to realize the best balance between steering response and traction characteristics. Lancer Ralliart is distinguished by its more aggressive styling that features an exclusive front bumper design, rear air dam, dual mufflers and an intake in the lightweight aluminum engine hood that delivers cooling air to the turbocharger.
The interior places greater emphasis on function and operability using the manual gearbox-type shifter found on the Lancer Evolution and other elements to create a new-generation sport compact sedan cockpit that allows the driver to focus completely on driving.
